Teague Florio Named to National Football Foundation Honor Society

The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) 2016 Hampshire Honor Society has been announced and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Teague Florio of Southampton was among the school's five awardees.

A cornerback, Florio (Southampton) started all 11 games, making 44 tackles, including a team-leading 36 unassisted. He had 2.5 tackles for lost yards (5), two interceptions, including one he returned for a 61-yard touchdown, and a team-best 12 pass breakups. Florio also had two fumble recoveries, which was tops on the Engineers. He was first in the Liberty League in passes defended (14), third in passes defended per game (1.27) and 10th in fumble recoveries per game (0.18). He is an aerospace engineering major who was named a CoSIDA National Academic All-America.
