Teague Florio Captures Academic All-District Award

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Teague Florio of Southampton has been selected to the 2015 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Football Academic All-District(TM) 3 Division III Team.

Aeronautical Engineering (Sr., DB, Southampton, NY / Southampton)...Cornerback…Second on team in INTs…Team is first in Liberty League in scoring defense (16.5 points per) and rush defense (115.6)…Second in total defense (291.0), sacks by (18) and interceptions (10)…2014: Had 22 tackles (16 solo)...One INT and one TFL (2 yds)…Capital One Academic All-District First Team...Team played in ECAC North Atlantic Bowl… Liberty League All-Academic 3x…Dean's List 6x…MacFarlane Prize (best overall product design for Introduction to Engineering Design class (Team Leader)…School 2 Outreach Program (Went to school with teammates and mentored students in areas of conflict resolution & team building)…Habitat for Humanity (Helped partially construct new housing development in Troy)…Soup Kitchen volunteer…Shinnecock Hills Educational Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement.
