Matthew Lane Selected for RPI Football Team Award

Matthew Lane of Hanover has been chosen for a year-end award from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) after helping the Engineers to a 9-2 overall record, a share of the Liberty League Championship and a victory in the ECAC Asa S. Bushnell Bowl Championship.

The Scholar Athlete Award was presented to Matt Lane. Lane (Hanover HS), a senior running back, is a business and management major who is also working toward an MBA. He was on the Academic All-District Team. On the field he finished with 46 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown, while catching 34 passes for 362 yards and two scores. Lane was second on the team in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown catches.
