Madeline Dery Recognized by Liberty League

Madeline Dery of Putnam Valley has earned a weekly track & field award from the Liberty League.

A junior, Dery (Mahopac HS) was named to the Honor Roll after she won the mile with a Hutton Sports & Recreation Center record time of 5:09.21. The runner-up crossed at 5:11.35. There were 16 total competitors, representing Hamilton, Oneonta, Utica, SUNY Plattsburgh, MVCC and Onondaga Community College. The mile was the only event for Dery, who is ranked 36th in the nation in the 3000 meter run (10:12.60).
