James Jackson of Islesboro is a member of the Class of studying Biomedical Engineering and a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) golf team.

The RPI golf team has played four tournaments, placing third in one and fourth in the other, while performing well in the other two. The Engineers, who are coached by Miles Nolan, features seven student-athletes, including three juniors, from three different states and three different countries.

Rensselaer closes out the fall portion of its schedule with tournament in Southwick, Mass., the ECAC Championship, on October 10-11.
