Jaime Lord Named Runner of the Week

Following an NCAA All-America effort, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Jaime Lord of Stony Point has been honored by the Liberty League, earning the conference's Women's Track Performer of the Week award, it has been announced. This is the fourth time duirng the indoor season the junior distance runner has been recognized.

Lord (North Rockland High School) earned National All-America with a third place finish in the 3000 meters at the NCAA Championship Meet in Iowa on Saturday. She ran in a time of 9:40.01, breaking her own school record. She also ran in the distance medley relay, helping the Engineers to another school record (11:55.17) and a ninth place finish.

Also an All-American in cross country, Lord posted five victories as an individual in three different distances - 1000 meters, 3000 meters (twice) and mile (twice) - this season. She also has a pair of runner-ups and helped the DMR team to wins in the Liberty League Championship Meet as well as the New York State Championship Meet.
