Erin Goodwin Earns All-Liberty League Honor

The Liberty League has announced its year-end award winners from women's lacrosse and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Erin Goodwin of Berlin has been named Honorable Mention.

A freshman, Goodwin started all 15 games for the Engineers in 2016, recording 21 ground balls and four draw controls. She notched a team-high 13 caused turnovers and chipped in offensively with one assist for one point.

In nine Liberty League games, Goodwin posted one assist, 13 ground balls, two draws and six caused turnovers.

Before attending Rensselaer, Goodwin was a four-year starter and captain at Berlin High School, where she earned All-State honors as senior. A four-year All-Academic selection, she helped the team to a Central Connecticut South Conference championship in 2015.

Goodwin also played soccer at Berlin and was a four-year member and three-year starter. A captain in her senior season, she helped the team to conference titles in 2011 and 2014.

The Engineers went 7-8 overall this season, including a 3-6 mark in Liberty League play.
