Colleen Morris Named Field Hockey Captain at RPI

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Colleen Morris of Pound Ridge 10576 has been named a captain of the field hockey team for the upcoming 2016 season.

In 12 games in 2015, Morris (King Low Heywood Thomas) had a goal on seven shots (5 on goal). She and her teammates held the opposition to only 1.76 goals per game while scoring 2.65 goals per contest. The Engineers out-shot the opposition, 223-151. Morris had an assist with four shots in 17 games as a sophomore and played eight games as a freshman. A two-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree, Morris is a mechanical engineering major who has earned Dean's List recognition. She was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad as a junior.
