Bryan Hayes Captures Liberty League Award

Bryan Hayes of Boylston was recognized by the Liberty League with a weekly award for his effort on the gridiron.

Hayes (Boylston, MA / Tahanto Regional), a safety, led the Engineers with 10 tackles, including six unassisted, against Rochester. He also had a forced fumble that led to a turnover in the fourth quarter, one of four miscues RPI caused. Through seven games, Hayes is first on the team in solo tackles with 26 and second in total stops with 42. He has two tackles for lost yards (3), a pass breakup, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Also a sprinter on the track & field teams, Hayes set a season-high for total tackles on Saturday, eclipsing a nine-tackle effort - all solo - at WPI.
