Benjamin Fazio Named Cross Country Captain at RPI

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Benjamin Fazio of East Greenwich 02818 has been named a captain of the men's cross country team for the upcoming 2016 season.

Rensselaer's first men's cross country National All-America, Fazio (East Greenwich High School) has finished 20th (24:47.2) and 26th (24:32.4) at the past two NCAA Championship Meets to capture a pair of All-America certificates. He is a three-time All-Liberty League honoree and a three-time All-Region honoree, finishing fourth in both events in 2015 and second and eighth, respectively, as a sophomore. Fazio, a materials engineering major who has earned Dean's List status, has seven weekly league awards to his credit.
