Benjamin Fazio Earns League Award

The Liberty League has announced its weekly award winners for men's track & field and Rensselaer Polytechnic Student (RPI) student-athlete Benjamin Fazio of East Greenwich was among the honorees as the Engineers swept the awards.

In a quad meet at MIT, Fazio (East Greenwich HS), a junior, won the 1500 meters with a time of 3:54.04 to earn Track Performer of the Week. He defeated 24 others in the event, which featured runners from RPI, MIT, Bates and Tufts. As a team, the Engineers finished second behind MIT.
