Alexandra Sakorafos Earns Cross Country Academic Award

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its annual All-Academic Team award and Rensselaer Polytechnic Student (RPI) student-athlete Alexandra Sakorafos of Brookfield was among the award winners. To earn that distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and finish in the top 25 percent at their respective regional.

Sakorafos (Immaculate HS), a senior, was 50th in the regional (23:21.8) and 184th at nationals (22:52.5) after earning All-Liberty League Second Team recognition. She is an industrial and management engineering major.
